ROI tracking and our first steps

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

We have setup our office in a flat. The teams are going to be split up into two halls. The first hall is going to house the search engine optimisation team, along with the link building and ecommerce teams.

The second hall is going to house the development and the design teams. We will also have a meeting room and a common area for lunches.

In India, the economy is heating up. The economy and the stock market are going places. However, I think that the some of the marketing spend is unsustainable. The spenders have an eye on an exit and are inflating volume numbers by spending money. If they don’t exit, their firms will need to curtail cash expenditures. If they are able to exit, the problem is just passed on to their new owners.

We advise our clients to ensure that their ROI tracking is robust and accurate. This ensures that they spend money with confidence and are confident that the online marketing reports are reflected onto their business reporting as well. Indeed, the aim of the business intelligence function should be that online marketing reports are as reliable as those from any other department and contribute to the consolidated MIS reports.
